The outstanding barbecue taste of these beans makes them a favorite for cookouts all summer and into the fall. It's a popular dish with everyone—even kids. Having meat in with the beans is so much better than plain pork and beans. —Donna Fancher, Lawrence, Indiana

I've never been much of a baked bean fan, but I was asked to make some for a church get-together. This recipe has made me a fan! They were great!

I am not a baked beans fan. However, this recipe is very good! I have subsituted both left over roast beef and sloppy joe for ground turkey with rave reviews. We use regular Rudy's BBQ Sause to give a little more spice.

I have to say this is the best bean recipe ever. I make it for our summer cookouts. I also make it for our Christmas dinner. It goes great with ham. Everyone loves it and looks forward to it.

I took this to a 4th of July potluck, it was a hit. I did use 1# of hamburger to make it alittle thicker and I will do that again. I substitue Maple Syrup for the brown sugar (same amount) because we have our own Maple Syrup. My husband, who is not normally a cook, loves to help make this because it is so simple.

Made these beans for the Fourth of July holiday. They were great! I had a "go to" bean recipe and this one is so much better. Loved the bacon...I didn't use as much white sugar as recipe called for though. Will make again. Love this kind of recipe with crusty bread along with a green and/or fresh fruit salad.
