I saw a contest in a local newspaper and worked up this recipe. It won first prize in the dessert category! Cranberries grow in this region of the country, so this recipe represents our area well.

"This was a great way to use up cranberries after Thanksgiving. I will make it again when I have extra cranberries, but I don't think it will become my go to coffe cake recipe. II replaced half the butter with applesauce and used half whole wheat flour instead of all all-purpose."
