Reviews for Favorite Crab Pasta Salad
"I added peas to this....it was delicious"
"I made this and my husband loved it. I thought it was good too. I changed it though. for the coleslaw, I used a 1lb bag of coleslaw from the produce section. For the crab meat I used 2-8oz pkgs of imitation crab meat from pollock. I used extra mayo and reduced the amount of pasta to 1/2 as I didn't want that many carbs in the dish. I was great. Good recipe for potluck as it made a lot."
"easy, tasty. must be careful which coleslaw one buys, mine was on the sweet side; with the crab, a little too sweet for our taste."
"This is so easy and amazing. My husband loved this. I made it on a weekday and used whole wheat pasta shells. Definitely a keeper"
"I made this but used two cans of drained whole petite shrimp instead of the crab. I also added 1/2tsp of the Old Bay seasoning. It was very good. I never thought of mixing coleslaw mix into a pasta salad so this was different for us. Very tasty."
"The idea of putting coleslaw into a pasta salad intrigued me. My husband isn't fond of crab, so I substituted barbecued chicken. He loved my BBQ Chick Salad. I loved the taste of the coleslaw in it."
"I made this for a light dinner tonight and it was excellent! I added 1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning and a dash of Tabasco. Very easy to make and the flavor is great. My family loved it! This is a definite keeper. Thank you to Cheryl for sharing her recipe!"
"Will definitely make this again. - easy to toss together, tangy seafood salad flavor, and my husband really likes it"
"I make this with different herbs-whatever is fresh and on hand. Never thought to add coleslaw before but it was a different kind of good. I do add a cup or so of frozen peas for color and because my family likes them in any cold salad."
"I'll be picking up some slaw from KFC...this sounds DELISH!!! And fresh crab would be an added bonus of tastiness!!!"
"This sound great, but need to know if the coleslaw is per-mix with dressing. I also think this would be good with salad shrimp or comb."
"Don't you know that most restaurants make crab salad with pollock fish, not real crab meat. It's about how you season it. I am a chef, and it just would not be cost effective for the consumer or the restaurant."
"Great salad, I used real crab meat and added corn......delicious!"
"it needs real crab meat, a pinch of salt, and squeeze of lemon before serving"
"Made this over the weekend - Didn't change a thing. Very, very good."
"This was just "ok" to my family not special like I had hoped."
"Sorry this just seemed a thrown together mess to me, my family just thought it "ok"."
"This salad is easy to make and delicious. A good side to barbecued foods. A keeper!"
"Yummy! This recipe is really easy to make and so so good. I substituted celery for the onion."
"I HAVEN'T TRIED THIS RECIPE BUT IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. I DON'T LIKE TO BUY READY MADE THINGS LIKE COLE SLAW IN THE STORE BECAUSE OF THE FAT AND SODIUM SO WHEN I MAKE IT WHICH I WILL I WILL MAKE MY OWN COLE SLAW. I LOVE SEAFOOD SALADS. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW I LIKE IT. DONALEE2"
"Good, Great, Fantastic!!!I used a summer slaw that Farm Fresh has on their salad bar. It is made with cabbage, green peppers, onions and tomatoes. The coleslaw is a very unique twist and excellent addition to this salad. I make crab pasta salad often and never would have thought of this but it will always now be added. Thank you!"
"Very good !!"
"Absolutely Wonderful Salad! I omit the creamy coleslaw and add 1 bag of cole slaw then add mayonnaise to our taste."
