Reviews for Favorite Cola Chicken
"This is a very tasty dish and my family loved it. I followed the recipe and made no changes. This even tastes great the next day."
"Great recipe --I have used coke and Dr Pepper and everyone liked the Dr Pepper more."
"I did use regular pepsi, fresh garlic and also added a pinch of salt and pepper to the recipe. It turned out much better, I'm sure, using the changes. The sauce ended up being perfect as well as the chicken tender."
"There wasn't enough flavor to satisfy my family. It's very unusual for me to have to throw away any leftovers, but some of this ended up In the wastebasket. I hate to give a mediocre review, so I offer our experience with a grain of salt. :("
"This came out great, I do use regular cola but plan on trying DR. Pepper next time I make this. I use italian seasoning and fresh garlic. I also add in onion powder to taste. Instead of putting the lid on for the first part of the cooking leave the lid adajar and the sauce will thicken much better."
"It did not look like the picture...the sauce did not thicken like pictured. I used regular cola instead of diet. The taste was good and my kids ate it, so I'll definitely make again."
"Definitely a keeper. I did not have plain oregano so I used a blended Italian seasoning and it was finger lickin' good. Even my sons friends asked for seconds!"
"Made this tonight and my entire family gobbled it up, even the kids asked for seconds. Will definitely save this recipe! My husbands only complaint....what a waste of skin :-)"
"so easy to make, with just a few ingredients a tasty barbeque sauce emerges, nice to use diet cola as well."
"I'm sure this is delicious, but a word to the wise. Diet cola contains substances that should not be heated if you care about your health."
"I intend to say chicken thighs, not wings."
"What about boneless/skinless wings? Would cooking time be reduced?"
"I haven't made it yet but I would agree with another poster here and use regular cola not diet. The chemicals used in diet soda are far worse than the sugar."
"This had the worst taste. I had to add a bottle of bbq sauce to be able to eat it."
"It was simple and easy to make. I've made this recipe a few times now and the entire family loves it. No leftovers at my house!!"
"Has this recipe ever been used with turkey? I have one in the freezer that needs to be used"
"The chicken was tender and moist. Slightly sweet taste but good flavor. I may try to add some hot spices to it next time but over all it was good a definate keeper! Thanks."
"I made this a few weeks ago and it was good. I found it on the Weight Watchers site. They call it 4 point Cola chicken. Will make again."
"going to try it with cherry coke!:-)"
"NEVER heat anything with aspartame because it can cause serious illness."
"I have not made this yet (will tonight) but I will use "real" soda because I have Barrett's esophagus a precursor to esophageal cancer and artificial sweeteners have been linked to the condition as has chronic heartburn."
"Recipe is so good and tasty. Yes, I'll make it again. My niece made it for my birthday this past February. But she used Pepsi Cola. OMG! DELICIOUS."
"Over and over its great for kids that don't like anything great."
"Yes Shodan, go ahead and use white meat. I prefer white meat also. It would work well with turkey tenders too! Keep asking!"
"This may be a silly question but I'm just learning. Can I use white meat when dark meat is called for?"
"Yes, you can use regular cola. Due to migraines and the potential dangers of heating aspartame, I use either Pepsi or Dr. Pepper and both work well."
"I would like to use this recipe in the crock pot, how long do you think it should cook for??"
"very good recipe, family loved it"
"Can you use regular cola in this recipe? I am allergic to aspartame. Also, aspartame should not be used in recipes which are heated or baked."
"I make this recipe all the time, using the crock pot. Love it!"

"Don't know what happened but the chicken was chewy. Had a good flavor but probably won't make it again. Will take the leftovers and pressure cook them then shred add cheese and make a wrap."
"This recipe was great I love it but I baked after I fix it the way it was. My husband want me to save it and fix it for the guys."
"We thought that it was very yummy and will be eating it again."
