Fast Beef and Rice Recipe
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package (6.8 ounces) beef-flavored rice and vermicelli mix
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2-1/2 cups water
- 1. In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside. In the same skillet, brown the rice mix in butter. Add water and contents of seasoning packet; mix well. Stir in beef. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender. Yield: 4 servings.

"This is a great recipe because it is simple, quick and delicious! It's adaptable too for what one has on hand. I didn't have the beef rice so I added an envelope of Lipton Beef & Onion Soup mix to the cooking water for instant white rice. And a dash of Worchestershire sauce for a little extra flavor! This is a good recipe to keep on hand for nights when you nneed a quick, easy dinner."
