  • 4 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chunky salsa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup canned chopped green chilies, optional

1/4 cup: 10 calories, 0 fat (0 saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 76mg sodium, 2g carbohydrate (1g sugars, 1g fiber), 0 protein.


  1. In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes, onion, salsa, salt and pepper. Add the chilies if desired. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. Yield: 4-1/2 to 5 cups.
