Reviews for Easy Banana Nut Bread
"easy and yummy! Family loves it. Discovered pecans were better than walnuts too."
"This was fast, easy and very tasty. My family enjoyed it so much. I followed the recipe exactly and both loaves rose as they should with a nice banana flavor. It's not a "poor replica" as a reviewer in 2013 remarked..."
"Very nice flavor. My loaves did not rise more than about 2 1/2 inches, so next time I may use smaller pans or put it all into one pan. I did use blueberries in place of nuts, so that may have affected the result. But, for a fast and tasty bread- it is worth making"
"I have made this recipe MANY times and it's always a hit! It's easy and hits all the marks."
"I agree about adding more banana for a stronger flavor. Has the right amount of sweetness . I used my cupcake tins and shortened the bake time."
"This was too cakey, hardly had any banana flavor, fell apart when you cut it. This person should really take the time to make a banana bread from scratch, Its sooo much better than this poor replica."
"I use basically this same recipe, but mine calls for 5 bananas & three eggs, along with a little cinnamon. It makes for a much more moist recipe, less cake like."
"I used 1 cup pecans and baked it in a 9x13 pan. My family loves it and i make often"
"This is such a great and easy recipe. It definitely makes a great base to play with. I made it today with walnuts instead of pecans. I added in two tablespoons of flaxseed mill, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and an extra banana. Then I baked it in a bundt pan instead of the two loaves. It turned out great. The flaxseed is so healthy for you and adds a nice nutty flavor. It also makes it a bit more brown and a little less yellow."
"I think this recipe had a great taste but....I don't know why it was crumbly when it was cut .It was very moist. maybe because I used skim milk instead of 2% has anyone else have a problem?"
"Taste is good...Easiest recipe ever..I made mini loaves...5 star on prep...4 star on taste...worth trying for sure."
"Very good! I added 1tsp cinnamon to the batter and it was great. I also added a streusel topping, but I don't think it really needed it. It was sweet enough as it was! I cooked my second batch for only 38min so that it was a little bit softer in the middle they way I like it. Very easy!"
"I added a special touch at the end. After removing the loaves from the oven, I drizzled some melted butter with cinnamon/sugar mixed in over the tops while still hot. YUMM!"
"Marie, I thank you so very much for this recipe! I've put it to use and it has been so helpful to me! I DID make some modifications to the recipe by adding 1 tsp. vanilla extract and 1/2 cup chocolate chips plus I sprinkled cinnamon-sugar over the top of the batter and swirled it through for a marbled pattern. All in all, it came out really nicely! Thank you for sharing your recipe with Taste of Home![email protected]"
"this was so simple to make and very few ingredients"
