Double-Berry Smoothies Recipe
“I created this icy treat one very warm day,“ shares Kari Caven from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. “Normally, I would've reached for ice cream, but I'm watching my sugar intake and cholesterol. This fruity beverage is thick, just sweet enough and delicious!“
TOTAL TIME: Prep/Total Time: 10 min. YIELD:2 servings
- 1-1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 1/3 cup blackberry creme yogurt
- 3 to 4 ice cubes
- 1. Place all ingredients in a blender; cover and process for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. Yield: 2 servings.
1 cup equals 79 calories, 1 g fat (trace saturated fat), 2 mg cholesterol, 56 mg sodium, 15 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 5 g protein. Diabetic Exchange: 1 fruit.
