Dilly Corn Recipe
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
- 2-1/4 cups frozen corn
- 3 teaspoons dill weed
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1. In a small saucepan, bring water and bouillon to a boil. Stir in corn, dill and garlic powder. Return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until corn is tender. Drain. Yield: 3 servings.
2/3 cup equals 117 calories, 1 g fat (trace saturated fat), trace cholesterol, 204 mg sodium, 27 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 4 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 2 starch.

"I think this is a delicious recipe! I DID use about 1 to 1-1/4 cups of frozen corn since that was what I'd had on hand! I also used about 3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth, 1/4 cup cold water, 1/2 tsp. TO 3/4 tsp. salad seasoning, 1 tsp. dill weed and 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. garlic powder for flavor. I'd placed the frozen corn in the saucepan with the chicken broth and water & let mixture come to a boil. Then I added the seasonings and simmered corn mixture for 4 minutes and drained it. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I used it in this week's corn recipe ingredient challenge for something quick, yet simple! delowenstein"
