  • 4 medium pears, peeled, halved and cored
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Nutritional Facts

1 serving equals 156 calories, 1 g fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, trace sodium, 40 g carbohydrate, 4 g fiber, 1 g protein.


  1. Place pear halves in an 11-in. x 7-in. dish. In a small bowl, mix the cranberry juice, preserves and vanilla until blended; pour over pears. Microwave, covered, on high for 7-9 minutes or until pears are tender. Yield: 4 servings.

"I made this when unexpected guests showed up one night, and I had nothing for dessert. I had no strawberry so used raspberry and served it with vanilla ice cream on the side. Everyone loved it. I will definitely make this again."
