Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup quick-cooking oats

1 cup chopped dates
-
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

In a bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, dates and nuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 1 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and tops are firm to the touch. Cool on wire racks.
