- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 5 cups Rice Krispies
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 cup plain M&M's
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Stir in peanut butter until blended. Add the cereal, pretzels and M&M's; stir until coated. Press into a greased 15x10x1-in. pan. Cut into bars. Yield: about 3 dozen.

We are the guardians of sweet snacks for our children and grandchildren., so it's up tp us to lower the chances of obesity and diabetes, not to mention the many other health problems years doen the road. I've used a similar variation for many years and know your famlily won't even notice athe taste of a slightly healthier variation."

I think if I were to make these again, I would use 3/4 c. peanut butter to add more flavor and maybe use Cheerios instead of Rice Krispies. I liked the idea of using pretzels since I like the sweet and salty combo but was not thrilled with this recipe."
