Reviews for Crispy Buffalo Chicken Roll-Ups
"Great taste! Although, they were really messy when I tried to roll them up. I think next time I will just cut a pocket into the chicken breast to put the cheese in instead. But overall they tasted fantastic."
"This was so tasty and easy! I used Texas Pete hot sauce and also panko bread crumbs, because I didn't have corn flakes. My daughter, who loves buffalo chicken everything, was home from college for the week-end and loved it!!! Even my husband who does not like overly spicy commented how tasty it was! I had no problem dipping the roll-ups in the hot sauce and mayo (which I whisked together & was soupy enough) then into the panko crumbs. Cooked for 40 minutes & used thermometer! Awesome, love those quick and easy recipes that make it seem like I slaved over a hot stove for hours."
"Really good! I didn't have cornflakes, so I substituted panko breadcrumbs. Another reviewer said they were dry...try cutting down a bit on the baking time and test with a thermometer. Will definitely make these again."
"Wow! This is one of those rare recipes that the whole family loved. This will definitely be going in the "favorites" section of my recipe box!"
"I made this for my husband and mother-in-law. Both HATED the blue cheese and ended up scraping it all off! They said it would probably be a LOT better with a different cheese."
"This was delicious! I cut a pocket in chicken breasts, stuffed with blue cheese instead of making roll-ups. Adjust the hot sauce to your taste."
"Made the recipe as directed, except I brushed on the hot sauce mixture as recommended by other commenters. My husband and I agreed that it was fine, but not great. A bit too dry for our liking and lacking exceptional flavor."
"This was awesome! So yummy!!!"
"Awesome-easy, delicious, and a much healthier way to satisfy a craving for chicken wings. I used Raisin Bran instead of corn flakes because I didn't have any (and just picked out the raisins). I also used 1 triangle of Laughing Cow light Swiss per breast instead of blue cheese. I used Frank's buffalo sauce and low fat mayo. They weren't spicy, just had that buffalo essence...so even my husband who doesn't like spicy things thought they were delicious. Definitely a keeper!"
"Because of reviewers comments, I made half of the roll ups with blue cheese and the other ones with feta. We like both cheeses, but we would have liked these better with a slice of Colby-Jack cheese in each instead. The buffalo wing sauce had the right amount of zing, and the cornflaked exterior was nicely crunchy. Definitely a good choice when planning a meal for guests."
"This recipie is amazing...so easy and you get that chicken wing flavor without too much heat, grease or bone!"
"I've made this several times as my whole family loves it, even my son who doesn't like hot stuff. The hot sauce you use makes or breaks it. Do not use Tabasco unless you want to set your tummy on fire. We have found that this is delicious with Texas Pete."
"Very good. My wife & I loved it! I would agree with other reviews that the hot sauce should be brushed on. We used gorgonzola instead of blue cheese. Also baked for 40 min. to make sure it was done. I know others have used bread crumbs, but the corn flakes worked really well-very crunchy."
"While it was very simple and quick to make, it did not have much flavor."
"Impressed my Mom... again!"
"This one was a winner. My husband loved it and my 5 and 4 year olds actually asked for third helpings (even with the hot sauce). I used panko crumbs and sort of spread the hotsauce/mayo mixture over the chicken and then coated. Used Frank's Red Hot which (being from Buffalo) is an absolute staple for anything you would make like this. Would definitely make this again."
"I found this pretty easy to make and it came out very tasty. The cornflake crust was a nice touch. I agree that the mayo/hot sauce mixture needed to be brushed on rather than dipped."
"I loved this receipe, I don't like blue cheese so I used cheddar instead and it was still good!"
"My Husband and I are HUGE buffalo chicken wing fans. We followed the recipe except for the hot sauce and Corn Flakes. We used Frank's red hot for the hot sauce, Panko extra crispy bread crumbs for the coating and a little side of Bleu cheese for dipping. Great recipe and we have already made it twice. Our friend also made it and loved it."
"My husband and I like hot and we really enjoyed this. Easy and great flavor with just a few ingredient.s"
"This was great. My husband wasn't thrilled about the blue cheese so next time I will make a few with another cheese for him."
"Family loved this! I used what I had on hand..so I used frosted flakes (which made it a little sweeter) and mozzarella cheese instead. Tasted amazing!"
"This recipe is a fav at our house."
"Very tasty and easy! May use yogurt instead of mayo the next time to reduce fat."
"This sounded good, but the outcome was BAD. First of all, what kind of "hot wing sauce" did the editors use that took this picture?! I used one of the best and adding mayo made the mixture too thick. Instead of dipping it in the mixture, it should've been 'brushed on'. Second, not enough 'corn flakes'. I needed 2 cups to successfully coat the chicken bundles.Editors: Please be real about which recipes to pick, this was definately not a Winner."
"This recipe was just ok; be sure to use a really good, flavorful, hot sauce. I used Panko breadcrumbs because i didn't have any cornflakes. FYI, they are messy to assemble. I had to bake them for 45 minutes."
"I don't think I will make these again. We didn't think they tasted that great. I left out the hot sauce - so maybe that's why they werent the best."
"Try dipping it in spicy brown mustard instead of the hot sauce/mayo mixture and subbing swiss for the blue cheese...yum!"
"These were great! I saw the recipe a couple of months ago and have been contemplating it since. I have two young kids so I wasn't sure about the heat level for them. I finally tried it tonight; I scaled back on the hot sauce and used Feta cheese instead of Bleu, because that's what I had. Also used Panko b/c we're not cornflake people. The crunch is awesome and adds nice texture contrast to the chicken and cheese filling. I will definitely make this again, more than likely for company because it's so good!"
"I assembled everything in advance and refrigerated dish until I was ready to start dinner. I added 5 minutes to the maximum baking time. I also used Panko bread crumbs instead of the corn flakes and served it with a spicy corn and black bean salad. Huge hit at my dinner table!"
"I am not very good at rolling the chicken so they did not look like the picture but they were so good!!!"
"This recipe was amazing! It has so much flavor in very minimal ingredients. Both my husband and I really enjoyed it, and I will be adding it to our recipe rotation. Best of all, it was a very quick and easy entree. A+"
"These sound excellent....I'd be LAZY and use the "already flattened" chicken breasts from the freezer at Sam's or Costco. Might sub mozzarella or three cheese Italian blend since I'm not fond of bleu. "
"This was DELICIOUS!! The whole family loved. Prep is longer than 15 mins though and it was a little tricky rolling up the chicken without the crumbled blue cheese falling out but worth the work. Very, very good!!"
