Crisp Marinated Cukes Recipe
THIS RECIPE is a favorite of mine not only because it's delicious, but because it was given to me by a very dear friend. I take this dish to many different gatherings and often, get requests for the recipe. It's a wonderful side dish, compatible with any meal. —Kathy Wallace Madison, Tennessee
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 cups sliced cucumbers
- 1/4 cup sliced onions
- 1. In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients; mix well. Stir in the cucumbers and onions. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Yield: 2 servings.
1 serving (1/2 cup) equals 213 calories, trace fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 593 mg sodium, 54 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g protein.
