Reviews for Creamy Bow Tie Pasta
"I've been searching for a good pasta side dish to have in my recipe box. I made this recipe last week and it was surprisingly delicious. As I started getting the ingredients together I realized it wasn't going to make much so I doubled the recipe. I followed the recipe exactly. I may have added a little ground pepper which I believe someone mentioned in their review. It was simple to make and when it was done I thought the parmesan cheese was going to be to powerful and make it taste bad. I was surprised to find it actually tasted really great. Sometimes internet recipes are hit or miss but this was a hit. I really liked the kick the red pepper flakes gave. I will definitely make this again and recommend it to others."
"my family really liked this. will definat ly make again"
"Needs a bit more flavor. I will make some additions like garlic powder and maybe some coarse ground pepper. I enjoy the kick the red pepper flakes give it though."
"Great side for many meals - nice 'n creamy, great flavors."
"I have made this several times. It's a great side dish and makes just enough for 2."
"I made this according to the recipe I just doubled it to make enough for my family and it was bland. It did not have enough of a flavor. I added some garlic salt and pepper it was better."
"I made this according to the recipe minus the red pepper flakes, then added chicken to make it a main dish. It was very easy and really good, and not super rich like a lot of Alfredo recipes are. I made it for a large group so I used the whole 12 oz box of pasta and ended up multiplying the sauce ingredients by six and it was the perfect amount of sauce, not too soupy but not dry. I will definitely make this again."
"Very good, had to double it to feed two of us. I'll make this again."
"Just helping with typo's ours spaghetti sauce recipe"
"Dear Jessica, how did you make big for your family we have 5 of us? Did u double it your triple it? We like chicken in ares to! I found another website that is called spagetti sause and meatballs.com. I am using there resipe!!Abigail"
"Mmmm.... This recipe is soooo good. A favorite in our house."
"I LOVE this pasta! One of my TOH favorites. Tastes like it came from an Italian restaurant. My husband likes it but has me lighten up on the red pepper flakes which he says makes it too spicy (I disagree...but...). I've also used the sauce over fettuccini and other pastas, but if you're going to try to impress, bowtie noodles make the dish look so pretty, lol....Thanks for sharing this recipe!"
"This is/was delicious I would definitely show this to all my friends and family! The kids loved it! And it was quick! Thanks Tasteofhome!"
"I absolutely love this recipe. It's extremely easy and goes well with any meal! There have been a few times that I didn't have sour cream so I used cream cheese instead and it still tasted wonderful! I will definitely continue to make this!!"
"Wow, this pasta can really dress up any meal! I multiplied the recipe by 3 to serve my family of 6. I also browned the butter which gave it a more distinct flavor, I think roasting the garlic would be great too. In place of red pepper flakes, I added in some cayenne pepper which worked well. I discovered that I did not have sour cream on hand, so I stirred in about half an ounce of cream cheese, and it tasted wonderful. This was really simple but had great flavor and everyone loved it (and I did too!) I will definitely be making this again."
"This recipe is so delicious! My fiance and I are hooked! We've had it twice already since we first tried it about 3 days ago. I made some minor modifications to the ingredients just to make it a bit healthier. I used multigrain bow tie pasta, unsalted butter, fat free milk, fat free/low sodium chicken broth, and fat free sour cream. I use a little more milk and broth than what the recipe calls for just to loosen it so it's not too thick. I told my sister about it and she made it tonight and loved it also!"
"This was amazing!! The whole family, even my kids loved it!!"
"We loved it... I do like to use a whole box of pasta and I triple the sauce part. It is delicious though ;-)"
"I made this dish exactly per recipe but added shrimp scampe to it. It was delicious will make it again."
"This was a really easy, economical, and delicious recipe to make. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and then needed to add a little more liquid. I added another tablespoon of chicken broth and another tablespoon of sour cream. Really a yummy recipe. I forgot to rank it, but should have given it as many stars as possible."
"I made this the other night and did exactly what jodil did above...I added chicken and doubled the recipe. I also added some of the hot pasta water because it seemed kind of "tight" in the bowl & that really helped to loosen it up a bit. Next time, I might also add peas & I would probably triple or quadruple the recipe so that we could have some leftovers! Hubby gobbled it up!"
"This was a great recipe - my family really enjoyed it. I tripled it so we'd have enough for our family of four plus leftovers. I added a little more garlic than was called for but it still worked out OK. Thanks!"
