 Cranberry Crumb Bars
This family favorite from Charlene Baert of Winnipeg, Manitoba features cream cheese and cranberry fillings, a tender crust and a nutty crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, cubed
  • FILLING:
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/3 cup King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine flour and confectioners' sugar; cut in the
  • butter until crumbly. Press into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking

  • Bake at 325° for 40-45 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours before
  • cutting. Yield: 12-15 servings.
