Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple, chopped
  • 1 celery rib, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 cup: 186 calories, trace fat (trace saturated fat), 0mg cholesterol, 295mg sodium, 48g carbohydrate (0g sugars, 5g fiber), trace protein

Directions

  1. In a serving bowl, combine the apple, celery and cranberries. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar and lemon juice. Pour over apple mixture and toss gently to coat. Yield: 2 servings.

"I've used dried currants (next to the raisins at the store) in this recipe. I also add walnuts - more like restuarants serve then."

"This fresh-tasting salad is definitely worth trying. I added blueberries and chopped nuts for extra color and crunch. An easy and nice change from tossed salads."
