CPA Snack Recipe
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2-1/4 cups pecan halves
- 2 cups whole cashews
- 1-1/2 cups whole almonds
- 1. In a large bowl, combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, salt and pepper. Stir in the nuts until coated. Transfer to a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 6 cups.
1/4 cup: 203 calories, 19g fat (2g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 246mg sodium, 7g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 2g fiber), 5g protein.

"I had prepared this recipe when it was featured in Taste of Home and I'd adjusted it by adding 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper and I added 2 cups mixed nuts since that was what I'd had on hand! I've also used a large roasting pan instead of a 15x10x1" pan. It's easier for me to stir the snack mix and the pan is deeper in that the mix doesn't fly out of the pan & into the oven!
