We love the breadsticks we get at our local pizza parlor when they're hot and gooey right from the oven. Now I can get that same wonderful goody, but I never have to leave the house. —Heather Bates, Athens, Maine
WHAT better time to shape rolls into cloverleafs than for the celebration of St. Patrick's Day?
I found this recipe in a magazine 40 years ago. These rolls are well received at fellowship dinners and are also popular at home. They are the lightest and tastiest rolls I make.

I love cooking with green chilies because they add so much flavor to ordinary dishes. Once while making a pot of chili, I had some green chilies left over and mixed them into my biscuit dough, creating this recipe. The fresh-from-the-oven treats are a wonderful accompaniment to soup or chili.

Martha Sue Stroud of Clarksville, Texas prepares these rolls that are golden and crusty on the outside and sweet and tender on the inside. The easy-to-handle dough rises in the refrigerator overnight for added convenience.
THANKS to Clancy Strock's article mentioning Milwaukee bakeries in a past Reminisce, I was reminded that I, too, missed those hard-to-find, airy, crispy rolls!
Years ago, I begged family members living in Chicago to try to find the recipe. My sister-in-law sent me a handwritten recipe, and now I can make these rolls for myself.

"Every year, I bake about 20 of these yeasty wreaths to give as gifts to seniors in our area," notes Sylvia Petker from her Port Rowan, Ontario home. "I also make more for our family Christmas brunch. It's a cinch to serve since the bread pulls apart easily."
People are delighted to find the ruby cranberry sauce swirled inside this tempting coffee cake. With the crumble topping, moist cake and tangy filling, it won't last long!

While Mom was busy with the rest of the meal, Dad helped by making this flat bread. There's no mistaking that this flavorful bread is homemade. It has a wonderful texture and lovely golden color.

This coffee cake is a sure hit. I used to prepare it for special occasions only. But now I try to bake it whenever I know overnight company is coming. It's always appreciated at breakfast the following morning.
When my grown children come home for visits, they always ask me to make this bread along with their favorite spaghetti dinner. In between times, the easy-to-prepare loaf is a hit at church socials and potluck suppers.
We especially enjoy this tasty bread because we feel using honey as a natural sweetener means healthier eating. We use the bread for both toast and sandwiches. It's great during the holidays, too...or, for that matter, anytime!
