Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • Dash salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 jar 7 ozs marshmallow creme
  • mississippi mud frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. 16ozs confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa and salt. Melt butter and pour into mixing bowl. Add sifted flour mixture and nuts. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour mixture into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes. Immediately after take out of oven, spread with marshmallow creme. Let cool. then frost with frosting.
  2. Mississippi Mud Frosting
  3. Combine all ingredients, beat until smooth. Spread over Mississippi Mud Cake. Yield: serves 16
