- 3 sticks butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- Apricot mixture (jar mixture found in store)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Boil in microwave
- Add ground walnuts to water/sugar mixture until it forms a spread-like consistency.
- Powdered sugar
- Cut up softened butter into flour. Add egg yolks and mix in sour cream. Use a wooden spoon to mix ingredients until dough leaves the side of the bowl. Refrigerated overnight, covered. Roll into 2" squares, fill with nut mixture or apricot filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Dust powdered sugar over cookies before serving. Yield: serves 8
