Classic French Dressing Recipe
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1. In a blender or food processor, combine the first seven ingredients; cover and process until blended. While processing, gradually add the oil in a steady stream. Process until thickened. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 1-2/3 cups.

"Thank you, Maron, this is wicked good! I didn't have a full half-cup of ketchup, so I used Heinz Jalapeno Ketchup to make up the difference. I will ALWAYS do that. It gave the dressing a bit of "warmth." I also added juice of 1/2 a small lemon to cut through the sweetness. So, the dressing had "warmth" and "tang." People, this is an amazing recipe as is. Tweaking it to my own family's personal tastes put it in the 'just perfect!" category."
