I have baked this cookie every Christmas for at least 25 years. I've had the recipe for so long, I don't even remember where it came from! —Jeaune Hadl, Lexington, Kentucky

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-1/4 cups biscuit/baking mix
  • 1-1/4 cups chopped mixed candied fruit
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • Confectioners' sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Beat butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add biscuit mix. Stir in candied fruit, pecans and coconut.
  2. Spoon into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Yield: 2 dozen.
