Ingredients

  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • TOPPING:
  • 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4-1/2 teaspoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter

Nutritional Facts

1 piece: 127 calories, 8g fat (3g saturated fat), 8mg cholesterol, 77mg sodium, 13g carbohydrate (10g sugars, 1g fiber), 2g protein .

Directions

  1. Line a 9-in. square pan with foil and butter the foil; set aside. In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs and butter. Spread into prepared pan.
  2. Combine topping ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl; heat until melted. Spread over peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until cool. Using foil, left out of pan. Cut into 1-in. squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Yield: 1-1/2 pounds.

"Awesome! This classic recipe of peanut butter and chocolate will remind you every bit of pb cups. Feel free to dress them up with crushed peanuts on top. Cut small because they are rich! "Quick and easy, a hit with all ages. Yes they are sweet. Used chunky p butter so they had a littke crunch.

Used butter (not marg like some of the other reviews) and had no trouble cutting after 5 hrs in the fridge, cut up beautifuly"

"I made these bars, and the flavor is good. But, I am having a problem melting my chocolate chips. I used the microwave and stirred the chocolate, peanut butter, and margarine after every 15 seconds of heating. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?"
