I've made these frosted brownies for so many years, I don't need a recipe card to follow. When our three grandchildren visit the farm, they're delighted when I serve these-plain or with ice cream.

"These brownies are wonderful! My four year old says that these are "yummy in my tummy!" They have a great chocolate flavor and a cake-like texture. I do think that you could get by with only 3 cups of powdered sugar in the frosting, and be sure to spread it fast! I will definitely make these again."

"This is my new favorite brownie recipe. I made these for a restaurant home owner and his wife who is a baker. He said everyone agreed they were the best brownies they ever ate! I am making more right now!"

"I am a volunteer TOH field editor and have made these many times!! Definitely more of a cake type of brownie than a dense brownie. But is still very moist and very tasty!!!!"

"Good recipe...with the following caveats. Works fine in a 13x9 pan, and definitely is a CAKE. Used regular milk in the frosting, and that worked fine. Just don't make these expecting brownies. Expect a yummy chocolate cake.

"These are just delicious and a favorite with everyone. I have found that using regular buttermilk produces better results than "gourmet" buttermilk."
