Chicken Almond Puffs

 Chicken Almond Puffs
Bite-sized baked puff pastries made with chicken and almonds. Brought to you by dLife®

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cooked chicken breast, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup whole almonds, toasted and chopped
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoons ground cayenne (red pepper)
  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 4 eggs

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Combine chicken and almonds. Set aside.
  • In large saucepan, combine chicken broth, vegetable oil,
  • Worcestershire sauce, parsley, seasoned salt, celery seed, and
  • cayenne pepper.
  • Bring to boil. Add flour, stir to form smooth ball.
  • Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat until smooth.
  • Add chicken and almonds, stir.

  • Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  • Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
