Reviews for Chewy Good Oatmeal Cookies
"The best soft oatmeal cookie recipe ever! I used butterscotch chips. Delicious!"
"My husband enjoys these oatmeal cookies. They are good with raisins or dried cranberries too. I chilled the dough and rolled it into balls"
"These were chewy and perfect! I left out the white chocolate chips and added pecans instead of macadamia's. I have made it 4 times already and everybody thinks they are the best oatmeal I have!"
"Very good cookie. I used mini choc. chips , will add to my cookie collection"
"These were one of the best cookies I've ever made. I used walnuts and raisins no chocolate chips"
"Excellent recipe. Loved all the extra add ins but will add them to my traditional oatmeal cookie recipe next time. I find I prefer the texture of cookies made with the old fashioned oatmeal rather than the quick cooking oatmeal."
"Reading the reviews really helped me! I don't care for white chocolate, but I had a bag of dark chocolate chips. I had no dried cherries, but I had some fancy mixed raisins. I had no macadamia nuts, but I had chopped walnuts! The cookies were fantastic!"
"My family loves these! I used splenda brown sugar."
"I have tried many oatmeal cookie recipes and this is my favorite one! It has a lot of flavor. You can also use raisins in place of the cherries."
"They baked more even when I used my convection oven otherwise they were dark on the bottom and light on top. They tasted great!"
"These cookies are fabulous and my family could not get enough of them"
"I'm a lover of oatmeal cookies and these are as good as any I ever tasted. I used crushed almonds instead of macadamia."
"These are delicious cookies. A surprise in every bite. I used a blend of dried berries(dried cherries were too expensive) I will make them again."
"These are really, really good. I was leary about adding the nuts, chips, and cherries because the dough itself is so good, but I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out wonderfully. Can't stop eating them."
"Great cookie recipe. Used craisins instead of cherries and they were delicious. I will certainly make these again."
"Great oatmeal cookie recipe. The cherries were ok, but I prefer raisins, so I'll probably se them next time."
"Nice texture with a good balance of crispy outside and chewy center. I really liked the combination of dried cherries and white chocolate, even though I am a dark chocolate lover. The macadamias were a nice addition. I'm thinking of trying pine nuts instead, or maybe dark chocolate rather than white. These are awesome cookies and didn't last long at my house. I think the basic cookie recipe is so good it would be great with whatever you might throw in there."
"I loved this recipe. It was simple and easy to make, but I use half of the butter and not a packed cup of brown sugar, and they came out perfect."
"I didn't have enough cherries so used part dried cranberries. A #50 scoop made 70 cookies."
"Best oatmeal cookie recipe I've tried yet"
"Stayed soft and chewy for the 3-4 days that these cookies lasted in my house. The taste was very yummy. Will become my go to oatmeal cookie I think."
"perfect combo of macd nuts, white chocolate & cherries. Will definitely make these again!"
"Really great flavor especially with the macadamia nuts. I made 1/2 the batch without for someone who can't have nuts and much preferred them with the nuts. Drop by stiff spoonfuls onto the pan to keep the cookie together after baking."
"I made these cookies the other day. They were great. My husband commented a few times how he really liked these cookies. My teenage son turned up his nose because they had fruit in them but my daughter enjoyed them. After I started preparing the cookies, I realized that I didn't have any dried cherries. I had dried cranberries in the house and used them instead. That is the only change I made to the recipe. I can't wait to get to the store for some dried cherries and try them again. I have seen similar recipes that call for semi-sweet chocolate chips but I think the white baking chips are great. Thanks for a great recipe."
