Ingredients

  • 9-1/2 cups (48 ounces) frozen corn
  • 11 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 slices process American cheese, cut into small pieces

Directions

  1. In a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cook, covered, on low, until heated through and cheese is melted, 3-4 hours, stirring once. Yield: 12 servings.

"Delicious! 1/3 recipe, 2 qt dish (to have room to stir), 40 minutes, covered, at 350. This has ruined canned cream corn for us forever! A pinch of salt to finish."

"I make this every year for Thanksgiving. Everyone loves it. I do not cook it in the slow cooker. I actually put everything together except the corn and heat in the microwave until melted then I add the corn and stir well then add back to the microwave to cook the corn. I then put it in the slow cooker to keep warm during the meal. much faster that way. I actually doubled the milk in mine to make it creamer."
