Reviews for Cheeseburger Quiche
""substituted 3/4 lb ground breakfast sausage instead of ground beef. Wished i would have made 2, due to EVERYONE wanted 2nd's, and that says alot for my picky eaters!""
"Skipped the mayo & oregano and added tomatoes and green peppers. A quick easy meal!"
"The most flavorful part of this recipe was the crust. Lacked flavor in major way and hardly tasted like any variance of a cheeseburger recipe to call it that. Additionally, the filling was hardly enough to fully fill a 9" pie."
"Yummy! I threw a couple fresh garlic cloves and some mushrooms in when browning the beef and onions but skipped the oregano. Yummy! Topping it off with fresh lettuce and tomato kept that nice crunch factor."
"I love this quiche. Instead of sour pickle relish, I used a layer of sliced dill pickles. Worked out great. It tasted better then cheeseburger pie.a"
"This is quick & easy to make with ingredients I normally have on hand which is a plus! My husband & I both loved it so it is a keeper for sure!"
"Very good!!!! Yum, yum!!!"
"I've made this several times for my hubby and he absolutely loves it. I prefer to use pork sausage instead of the cheeseburger, but both ways are very good."
"What a great find! I needed to use some ground beef, but worried about making this, since I only had low/reduced fat ingredients on hand. I used skim milk, light mayo, lean beef and reduced fat cheddar with great results! Our whole family liked it, which is rare. My oldest child said the flavors reminded her of stroganoff. My husband liked his with hot sauce on top. I will make this again!"
"This recipe is very similar to one I've used for years and that is very popular in our family. I use a dash or two of hot sauce instead of oregano, and the original recipe I have calls for 1 cup cheddar and 1/2 cup Swiss. Also, instead of 3 eggs I use 2 eggs and 1.5 Tbsp. cornstarch. I've been known to throw in green chilies, mushrooms or even a bit of relish at times. It's good the way it is, but also works well to throw in those extras if you want to change things up now and then. Very easy and tasty recipe."
