In Wynot, Nebraska, Penny Reifenrath uses peanut butter, Cheerios and candies to put a tooth-tingling spin on marshmallow-cereal bars. "Whether I take them to picnics or bake sales, I'm always asked for the recipe," she notes.

"Although my grandchildren ate it all before I could taste it, lol, I am guessing it is very good. I only had a half bag of white and half bag of candy cane marshmallows so I mixed them together and left the M&M's out. Would definitely make it again based on the grandchildren asking that I make it again."

"I made these because I didn't have any rice krispies in the house. I shouldve bought the rice krispies :( The moisture in the materials made the cheerios taste soft and stale. Overall they just didn't taste good."

"I make this recipe for my daughter in college all the time I have even mailed it to her, she is always asking when I can make them for her. I use the holiday m & m's halloween, Christmas, Easter colors makes them more fun.

When making, have the peanut butter measured ready to spoon in before starting to stir melted marshmallows, it sets up fast."

"I made this recipe when it was first published and it's been a family favorite ever since. My son just requested it again. It's a pretty healthy snack that I don't feel guilty about giving to him."

"These are as easy to make as Rice Krispies. They're also healthier since the cereal is whole grain, and there's some peanut butter for protein. I like these better than regular Rice Krispy Treats and will probably make them again."
