Celery Seed Salad Dressing Recipe
When I have time, I like to prepare this salad dressing the night before to really blend the flavors together. It's delicious with tomatoes and dark greens. -Tammie Lee Carter of Wheatfield, New York
- 1 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1. In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sugar, onion, vinegar and celery seed. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Yield: 1-3/4 cups.
2 tablespoons equals 90 calories, 6 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 6 mg cholesterol, 138 mg sodium, 9 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, trace protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 fat, 1/2 starch.
