- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 pound bacon strips
- Preheat oven to 350°. In a shallow bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Halve bacon strips crosswise; coat both sides with sugar mixture. Twist, then place in a foil-lined 15x10x1-in. pan.
Bake until crisp and browned, 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately.
- Freeze option: Freeze cooled bacon twists in freezer containers, separating layers with waxed paper. To use, thaw in refrigerator overnight. Yield: about 3 dozen.
