Melt this zippy butter from our Test Kitchen over grilled corn on the cob and you'll be grinning from ear to ear!

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Hot cooked corn on the cob

1 tablespoon: 105 calories, 11g fat (7g saturated fat), 31mg cholesterol, 119mg sodium, 1g carbohydrate (1g sugars, 0 fiber), 0 protein.


  1. In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Serve with corn. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: 1/2 cup.

"AWESOME! I doubled the recipe and tasted it and thought it was way too spicy (and I like spicy) so I doubled the butter. I wish I had tried it on the corn first cause after it goes on the corn it's a lot different! Hmmmm........ So Good! My husband said he'll never eat regular butter on corn again. We even added some to the pasta and it was fantastic!"
