Reviews for Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo
"Wonderful. Will be my go to recipe for broccoli shrimp alfredo. Will add sliced fresh mushrooms next time ."
"I usually make my Alfredo with heavy cream and fresh parmesan. Tried this one with added parmesan and it was great. Also cheaper using milk instead of heavy cream."
"This was great!"
"This is a great recipe. The only thing is I added romano cheese. I tend to like strong flavors in dishes like this. Thats just what I like. ! Will make this a keeper !!!"
"Awesome--my family loved this!"
"we loved it easy to make"
"This recipe is awesome. My family loved it!!!!"
"It was easy to make and very good."
"An all in one dish, side dish needed. Tastes great."
"I agree that it is not as much like Alfredo sauce as I hoped. I may try it again and use much less cream cheese and way more parmesan."
"Excellent!!! Will certainly make this again."
"Since I've gotten lazier the older I get, I'm sure you could use Ragu Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce instead of making your own from scratch. This has been a staple with us for years because you can interchange any meat and any vegetables. Last night I tried it with salmon filets and frozen California Blend Vegetables and it was delicious. (This is no small feat as we really don't like the flavor of salmon but we live by the mantra of "you catch it, you eat it!""
"I've been making this since I discovered it at Red Lobster many years ago. I use ALL Parmesan cheese as I agree the cream cheese makes it too creamy. A true Alfredo is all Parmesan. I also make it with chicken, Yummy."
"This recipe is delicious. My family loves broccoli. In my house we try to eat something good for you and delicious.I will be making this a lot in the future! Thank you taste of home for sharing this with us"
"This is not an Alfredo sauce...so better to rename it"
"This was too creamy for me. I would love some recommendations about how to thin the sauce out. Other than that, this was pretty good."
"I have made this recipe twice now. Both times, I substituted fresh broccoli for the frozen stuff and just put it on to steam while preparing the rest of the dish. Last night, there was a sale on shrimp so I used two pounds instead of one. I tend to go with more garlic as well. Also last night, I decided I'll use twice the grated parmesan cheese next time too. All in all...this is a great dish and will be a frequent fare for my table."
"I halved this recipe. It was perfect for us.I used broccoli, cauliflower and carrot mixture"
"I've made this recipe several times now and absolutely love it. I to had this at a restaurant and would go there just for this dish. then the restaurant changed there menu and stopped offering it, hence my determination to make it myself. I made no changes to this recipe, it is perfect as it is. will be making this recipe for many years to come. ENJOY ALL."
"My family devoured this dish.., they begged for 2nds but its serves 4 only... so looking forward to the next time... its a 10 on my scale..."
"this dish was way to creamy for my liking"
"I make this recipe using the leftover shrimp from new years eve. I still saute in the butter and garlic and follow the rest of the recipe. The old bay from the shrimp really add flavor to this recipe. Delicious! My husband looks forward to this meal at the beginning of every new year. I also make through out the year using chicken. Kids love it!"
"I liked this a lot. I had to cut a few things in half because of dietary restrictions in our family. So...I only used 1/4 cup butter and I added 2T olive oil. I used 4oz lite cream cheese and we have to live with skim milk here so we did. I added 1T of flour to make sure my skim milk would still make a neat, clingy sauce. Also had to change the salt to Mrs. Dash original. Overall, it was still very good and would be as great with chicken as it was with the shrimp."
"This recipie was very quick and easy, loved the flavor and appearance. - submitted by Taste of Home Field Volunteer Tammy Schmer"
"I'm a beginner and my wife liked this recipe a lot. She never tried it with cream cheese but very good and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing."
"Sunday's dinner for sure!"
"I am not very experienced in the kitchen and I was able to follow your simple instructions. The finished product was GREAT and both my boyfriend and his brother LOVED it. Thank you."
"It was a real hit!"
"Such a great recipe! I made it for my boyfriend and he said it's the best alfredo he's ever had. It's creamy and buttery, but not too heavy. Also, I left out the garlic and substituted spinach for broccoli."
"change it up with chicken instead"
"Soft, tasty, quick! Perfect for a family meal."
"This is a real good recipe, a little heavy on the calories, but I will use it occasionally, I like to add a little semi-crisped bacon pieces to it. (just to add a few more cals). Love it."
"My family loves Alfredo. This was super easy to make and it tasted great. I used chicken instead of shrimp. Will definitely make again!"
"I made this for my family and they could not get enough! Thank you for this recipe! Every time I tell my family that I am making this recipe, they get excited! LOVE IT!!"
"Sauce is creamy. Made with my local SC shrimp and it is Delious!"
"This was delicious! The best Alfredo sauce I've ever had! I did use cheese tortellini instead of fettuccine but it was still fantastic. I will definitely make again!"
"I made this recipe tonight... it is very quick and is very good.... I added Old Bay ( a spice) just a sprinkle, but the cream cheese and fresh parmesan is a HIT! LOVE< LOVE< LOVE it! Quick easy and very good!"
"Very easy! Best shirmp and alfredo I've ever had!"
"This has become one of my new favorites. Its easy and it tastes so delicious!"
"This is a wonderful recipe. Best of all, it's quick and easy but has the taste of quality restaurant style. I have cut the butter in half and omitted the salt and it's still delicious. My husband asks for it often."
"This was very good. I took the broccoli out and cooked it as a side instead. I sautèed sliced mushrooms in the butter and garlic and had to use precooked shrimp as it was all my store had. The only change I would make would be to add a little white wine into the sauce at some point in the cooking process. Otherwise, very good. Could probably cut the butter at least in half. I also used freshly grated Parmesan and omitted the salt, relying instead on the salt in the cheese."
"it was excellent my kids loved it and wants me to do it again. it tastes like it came out of the restaurant .. excellent"
