- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets (1 medium bunch)
- 3/4 cup golden raisins
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3 Jones Dairy Farm Dry-Aged Bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
- In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, raisins and onion. In a small bowl, combine the Miracle Whip, vinegar and sugar. Pour over broccoli mixture; toss to coat. Sprinkle with bacon. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Yield: 6 servings.

"I love this salad. In the interest of cutting calories, I made the following substitutions: turkey bacon for bacon, low-sugar cran-raisins for golden raisins, Splenda or other sugar substitute, lower fat mayo. I had lemon white vinegar handy instead of the plain white vinegar which added a little lemon flavor and used one small spring onion bulb instead of red onion, but either is good. I also don't like raw broccoli so I cooked it slightly before adding the other ingredients."

"Love this recipe. I also add cauliflower for more color and have used chopped baby carrots. I always make with red wine vinegar and mayo, use craisins rather than raisins, have used pecans and walnuts and sunflower seeds, all are good variations. I have also sprinkled in some finely shredded cheddar cheese. Really any variations you use with this recipe is good. You can't lose."
