- 2 pounds brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Place the brussels sprouts and water in a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 6-8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Combine the butter, salt, basil and pepper; drizzle over brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Yield: 4-6 servings.

"Good recipe. The Brussels sprouts I had this time (frozen) were not the best batch, so they did not make for a tasty dish. I'm setting that aside for the review because the creator of this dish has nothing to do with the quality of sprouts you get and the recipe itself is good. I like the idea of using the butter and basil. But I think this dish would benefit from being cooked another way beside microwave cooking. I think with Brussels sprouts, cooking longer and allowing the flavors you put in them to really flavor them helps. They are kind of bland by themselves and cooking by saucepan over low heat would heat the middle well and give a better taste I think."
