Banana Nut Muesli Recipe
Although I love the flavor of homemade cereals, I rarely have time to make them from scratch. But this cereal is so wonderful not only because it's tasty...it's made the night before.
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 firm banana, sliced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1. In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve chilled. Yield: 2 servings
1 cup: 307 calories, 10g fat (1g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 4mg sodium, 49g carbohydrate (23g sugars, 7g fiber), 9g protein.
