"When the Winnipeg River beckons my visiting grandchildren each summer, they won't stop for breakfast," relates Helen Stine of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, "but they'll always make time for these nutritious banana shakes."
TOTAL TIME: Prep/Total Time: 5 min. YIELD:2 servings


  • 1-1/3 cups 2% milk
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/3 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 small ripe bananas, quartered


  • 1. In a blender; combine all ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled tall glasses; serve immediately. Yield: 2 servings.

"I'm pregnant and all I've been craving lately is fish sticks and any variation of ice cream. This is reallllly hitting the spot :) only thing I'd recommend is less milk as I had to add more ice cream to thicken it up."
