Banana Blueberry Smoothies Recipe
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium bananas, halved
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup frozen unsweetened blueberries
- 1. In a blender, combine all ingredients; cover and process for 30 seconds or until blended. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. Yield: 6 servings.

"I like my smoothies frostier than this...this was more of a straight-up drink...but my kids liked it. It was flavorful and tasty. I added a bit of ice to mine to make it thicker and colder, but then it was watered down. I think I'd maybe freeze the bananas next time so the shake would be thicker. I'll bet it would be really good substituting strawberries for the blueberries, too. This recipe filled a 1-liter carafe, making it easy to pour and serve to my family. Each serving was 6 oz."
