Banana Apple Muffins Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup grated peeled tart apple
  • 1/4 cup mashed ripe banana

Directions

  • 1. In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In another bowl, beat the egg, milk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple and banana.
  • 2. Fill greased muffin cups about three-fourths full. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Yield: 6 muffins.
