Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen French-style green beans, thawed
  • 2 Jones Dairy Farm Dry-Aged Bacon strips
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Pinch pepper

Nutritional Facts

1 each: 66 calories, 5g fat (2g saturated fat), 5mg cholesterol, 278mg sodium, 5g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 2g fiber), 2g protein.

Directions

  1. Place beans in an ungreased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish; set aside. Cook bacon until crisp; remove with a slotted spoon. Crumble and set aside. Stir in 1 tablespoon of drippings into beans. Dissolve bouillon in water; add garlic salt and pepper. Pour over beans. Cover and bake 350° for 1 hour. Top with bacon. Yield: 6 servings.

"Good flavor, put them in the oven with a meat and potato casserole and you will have a full oven baked meal that can cook while you do other chores!"

"I used fresh grean beans and added minced garlic instead of garlic salt. I cooked it part way and then added the bacon so it was soft. Taste was awesome!"
