Baked Saucy Pork Chops

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

2 bone-in pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick)

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon cider vinegar

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides. Transfer to a greased 11x7-in. baking dish; sprinkle with onion.

In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Bake, covered, until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 15-20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
