Reviews for Baked Applesauce
"This sounds AMAZING!! I'm already thinking of several variations to use throughout the holidays. Apples Pears Cranberries and all sorts of holiday spices! Think I'll experiment this weekend! Thanks!"
"What a great way to use leftover apples. I was just trying to be economical and it turned out to be a real hit! I used sweet yellow apples that had been in the basemen for a while, but nobody seemed to mind! They asked for more! So I will use this regularly. I want to try them with the tart apples. I can't wait!"
"I made this dish tonight and it was a hands down winner. I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. Next time, I will make more although there were two nice sized servings. It was sooooo good. My husband loved it. I highly recommend this recipe."
"This was really easy and very good. I add a smidge of nutmeg. I tripled the batch too."
"My fiance is a student, and I'm working to save up for school. With our busy lifestyle and terribly low budget, we often end up making less healthy choices, opting for a quick fix instead. Sometimes, this leads to produce that lays around a bit too long. We had 6 apples that needed to be used up within the next few days or they'd go to waste. Last night, I tried this recipe with 2 of them, and we were relaxed, comforted and extremely pleased with the way it turned out. We did have one immediate criticism: too much sugar. I doubled the recipe this morning, but used only 3.5 Tblsp sugar. It was even better than the first go-around, and now we know it's healthier! Next time I make a single batch, I'll use 1.5 Tblsp sugar."
"This is the only way I make applesauce only I make a much larger batch. I fill a 9 x 13 baking dish with apples and add the same ingredients on a larger scale. Cover with foil and bake. Mash with a fork. Best applesauce ever!"
"This was a hit at our family gathering. I even made a second batch later that afternoon because everyone asked for more."
