Reviews for Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta
"This was an OK quick meal. I followed the recipe as written. We liked it but there was nothing wow about it."
"My family loved this!!! We used BBQ sauce and extra bacon, i will be making this again for sure!!!"
"I bake it for 25 min. in the oven, instead of cooking on the stove. Also canned tomatoes make it even more delicious. My family loves this!"
"Tastey and easy to fix!"
"Everytime I cook this it's delicious ! I don't use the barbecue sauce or mustard tho . I'll just add more bacon & shredded cheese . It's a family favorite ! :)"
"I made this for myself, my Mom, my Husband and my 3 kids aged 6,11 & 12 and we all thought it was terrible. Do not make this. It is disgusting."
"I cooked the bacon first, left the grease in the pan and added a chopped onion and a green bell pepper. Saute that first then did my ground beef which I added some Worchestershire as it was cooking. At the end I added some BBQ sauce and some honey mustard dressing. Delicious! A keeper!"
"My husband is not a big fan of tomato soup. I can't get him to even come near me when I eat it, but when I make this dish, he devours it like there's no tomorrow! I totally reccommend this dish to all picky eaters! Tastes just like a bacon cheeseburger with ketchup!"
"This recipe just didn't suit our tastes. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. I think children would enjoy it since the tomato soup flavor was pretty strong."
"I recommend that you do not use tomato soup, but tomato sauce, it improves the taste a lot. I also suggest that everyone sprinkle on cheese to suit their taste because just one cup didn't suffice our family. It taste better with some seasoning on it. We don't use bbq sauce or mustard. Yum!"
"This recipe has a lot of potential - if you skip the tomato soup. I have made this once so far, and all I could smell and taste was the tomato soup. It was very unappealing. I added a bit of ketchup to it, and it was much better.I plan to make this again, but use 8 oz. of tomato sauce instead of the tomato soup. and then either add ketchup or bbq sauce."
"I am absolutely doing this again! We don't use the barbecue sauce or prepared mustard though, the leftovers heat up beautifully, and there are never enough for my family!"
"Needed something extra, just a little bland. I add durkee st lewis style chicken and rib rub to the meat, but you could use your favorite hamburger spice. Now my sons favorite dish."
"I made this recipe a few nights ago and followed cookiemaster13's recommendations but I also added dill relish while cooking and it was amazing!! Everyone went back for seconds :) I had the idea to use the meat mixture without the pasta and serve it on toasted buns for tonight. Kinda like a bacon cheeseburger sloppy joe. :)"
"I would make it again but add lots more ingredients to pick up the taste. Somehow the barbeque sauce and mustard didn't do it...definitely onion, garlic and probably some home made sauce. I'm finding that a lot of the recipes from Taste of Home could be better tested and changed...just a thought!"
"My family loved it the only thing I did different was add alittle tonys, onion powder & garlic powder. We topped ours with both mustard and bbq sauce and diced dill pickles."
"<p>This recipe was OK. I agree with the previous posts that it lacked a certain something. You definitley need the BBQ sauce. Otherwise it is really bland. In fact I added a tablespoon of the mustard and BBQ sauce while heating through and left the BBQ sauce for others to add more."
"My family loves this!!!"
"This was really good!! I put mustard and bbq my husband and son loved it! Will definitely be something we have again!"
"This was kinda bland and all I could really taste was the tomato soup. If I make this again it will have to have something added to it, perhaps I should have used the bbq suggestion"
"My husband loves cheeseburger Hambuirger helper. I hate it. But this is so good, we both love it. No more buying that boxed stuff that calls itself food."
"Family Loves it! Prep time is more like 40 to 45 minutes. Lets be realistic!"
"easy, filling, mild"
"I made this recipe for my family and we loved it. It had excellent flavor."
"We didn't think it was that great and it needed salt."
"I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did because I figured it was too easy to be much good. But it really was! I also caramelized some onions for my husband and I to put on top. With two little kids, anything where they are allowed to put condiments on their food (we did relish, ketchup, mustard as desired) is always a popular dinner. The whole family liked it. But then again, we always like bacon! ;-)"
"This is a family favorite. I have a house with 2 adults and 2 toddlers, and finding a dish we can all enjoy is not always easy, and this one everyone will enjoy and I don't have to be cooking for long at all."
"I made this as shown, but I doubled the recipe since I have a large family. The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars is the choice of using condensed tomato soup. The brand I used has 12 grams of sugar per serving, which gave the dish a little too much sweetness. Next time I try and find a soup that doesn't have so much sugar content."
"So simple, but a real family pleasing meal that is ready in a jiffy. I always mix a little honey barbecue sauce in."
"this recipe was great. i made it for my famiy and everyone loved it. my husband said it was his new favorite meal and our kids amazingly ate every bite even as picky as they are. the only thing i will change next time is add a bit more bacon. thanks for the great recipe"
"I also added onion, Worcestershire and garlic salt, but cooked the onion, hamburger and bacon all together. The extra grease helps saute the onion and crisp the bacon. Then I drained before adding pasta and sauces. Not too spectacular until you add the BBQ and mustard (I mixed in about 1/2 c BBQ and 1/4 c mustard), then did the cheese last. It was great for both my kids."
"This was really good. I added onion and garlic to the hamburger, I added a couple tbs of garlic worcestershire sauce, a dash of hot sauce and I used about 2TBS of honey mustard. I also used the pre-cooked bacon that you just pop in the microwave and its done, so much easier that way. I will definately make this again and again."
"My whole family LOVES this recipe! I like to add bbq sauce, I think it gives it that extra something."
"it was okay, but nothing to write home about. it's basically hamburger helper with bbq sauce if you added that."
"My whole family loved this..will make it again !"
"Tasted like hamburger helper."
"This is so delicious! I added onion, garlic, salt, pepper, barbecue sauce & spicy brown mustard. Very easy to make & very tasty! Will make again!"
"This is a super fast and yummy recipe. I have made it many times and like it even better when I add some chopped onions, garlic, and worchestershire sauce to the beef. I also highly recommend using the BBQ sauce and mustard-they are a must! YUM!"
"This dish is very tasty. I made it for a get together yesterday and everyone loved it. I did make some changes after reading reviews previously posted. I used a pound of bulk Sweet Italian Sausage for the ground beef, I used 1/2 jar of real bacon pieces, to make it easier, added a chopped onion and garlic to the sausage when cooking, and used 2/3 cup Sweet Baby Ray's Vadalia Onion BQ sauce and 1 T. mustard. The flavors were outstanding."
"LOVE how easy this is to make, and it taste great. I used mustard on top of mine, instead of the BBQ sauce."
"I added 1/4 " dice onion, caramelized -used the whole onion. The BBQ sauce at the end was great!"
"next time I would add 1 tsp of worchestire and 1 tsp of mustard to give it a little zing. Tasty but a tad bland."
"This was very good! We added some onion and garlic to the hamburger to enhance the flavor!"
"I added chopped onion while frying the hamburger, everyone loved this!"
"I chopped up half of an onion and cooked with the hamburger then added 2/3 cup of BBQ sauce and 1 T of mustard as someone else had suggested. I thought this recipe was good but my husband would have said it was excellent so I gave it 5 stars. It is fast and easy so I will be making it again."
"Very good! The BBQ sauce & mustard gives it the "kick" it needs."
"I have made this a lot and add chopped onion and garlic in with the beef and sometimes a can of tomatoes. The BBQ sauce and mustard add a wonderful taste!!"
"I had a pound of ground turkey meat, so I used it instead. This was still delicious! I wish I'd had BBQ sauce to try with it, but mustard was surprisingly good as well. Even my boyfriend liked it!"
"Added sauted onions, black and cayenne peppers, and fresh tomato because it was really bland."
