"Took this to a potluck dinner. Got many rave reviews and requests for this recipe. The time needs to be adjusted at the start of the recipe as there are 2 separate baking times totaling 40 - 48 minutes. Not a recipe to make if you are in a hurry but the result is so worth the effort."
"This was such a hit at Thanksgiving, I've been asked to make it again for Christmas. It is really easy to love making this dessert, especially when asked to bring it again."
"First let me say i was having one of those days and put these in the oven for a few minutes before i realized the cheesecake filling was still in the bowl. After scraping as much of the topping as i could and putting the cheesecake on the apples i took it to a family party without trying it. I let everyone know i didnt know what it was going to taste like, it was a huge hit. Some took 2 pieces. No issue with the crust which i baked for 15 mins,( could be because the apples were on top of it. Great recipe, next time i hope to make it the way it is written."
"I debated whether to make these bars or not because I really don't care for crispy apples in baked goods when there isn't enough baking time to get them done. I decided to go ahead and bake these bars and I'm so glad I did. They are delicious! I did grate the apples, (Granny Smith) instead of thinly chopping and this worked out perfect and the apples were NOT crispy. Just right! Yum! I followed some of the other reviews and baked the crust for 10 minutes instead of the 15-18 minutes. I did not measure the caramel topping. I just drizzled almost half of a 12.25oz. jar of Smuckers Caramel Ice Cream topping. I served these bars at coffee hour after church and i received many compliments. Thank you for sharing your delicious recipe!"
"Made for a card party and YUM. None left over. Had Honey crisp apples on hand and used gluten free flour for crust. Very good recipe"
"I made these for our office Halloween potluck and they were a hit! They tasted like apple pie, but even better. I saved some for my picky kids and they even loved them. Great Fall dessert when you're sick of the usual ones."
"I made these last fall for a couple events and they were a hit with everyone. Several people asked for the recipe. It took me about 45 min to prepare but well worth it. I'm going to make them again this weekend."
"This is an EXCELLENT recipe! Many compliments. I added a little more apple because I had it (used Granny Smith). Watch the time closely when baking the crust and only get very lightly browned, mine did not bake the full time or it would have been overdone. Apple lovers should try this one!"
"made these for dessert ,Oh my , more than one bar is missing from the platter! Great fall flavors, easy to make!"
"I used 4 big apples. 1 of the bricks of cream cheese was reduced fat. Used a home made goats milk cateja"
"Took some time, but were delicious!"
"Absolute 5 stars. Made this for my Sunday School class.everybody loved it. Several asked for recipe. Had 77 in class that Sunday. Everybody that got a piece ask for me to bring a double batch next Sunday."

"I made this delicious receipe and my family l l loved it. Will try to make again for Thanksgiving."
"Can this cheesecake be made in advance and frozen prior to Thanksgiving.?"
"Again I will say that these are a huge hit. A tad bit time consuming but so worth it !"
"These were fun to make and a big hit at the church luncheon. I will definitely make again..."
"Loved these so did everyone I shared them with."
"These did take a little extra time to make, but so worth it. My friends just adored these! My crust was perfect, but I know my oven. Always set the timer 2 minutes less than the minimum bake time. I did drizzle the caramel, but I didn't measure it. I don't think I used enough......more next time!!"
"I agree with Jodyblue - crust was way too hard! If I make it again, I will change the crust and add chopped nuts to the streusel."
"loved it, didn't have caramel topping, but they were still delicious"
"These were GREAT!!! I highly recommend making these WONDERFUL!!!"
"They were very good, but way too long for the base to be in the oven. Found the base very hard. The base is in oven total of 40-48 min. If I made them again I would only bake base 5 min. then it is oven again 25 min. Totally enough. 4 star"
"Very good recipe I bet it would be fantastic with pears and or peaches or with cranberries, YUM"
"This is So Delicious. One of my families New Favorites! I will be making this again real soon."
"Made 1/2 recipe for a test to see if it would be good for study club. We thought it was great1 Will make it today for study group."
"These were a lot of trouble, quite expensive, and not as good as I had expected. I did use Neufchâtel instead of cream cheese which should not have affected the flavor, only the consistency perhaps. My gala apples did not get soft, were crunchier than I expected or preferred, and I now read not a good choice for cooking so that was perhaps a bad choice on my part. I doubt that I make them again but the next time I would definitely pay attention to the baking quality of the apple variety! I have a number of less labor intensive recipes that produce better results to warrant making these again."
"Wonderful Loved them Making them for the next party here"
"These are so good. A huge favorite! I loved it so much, I shared with my daughters. One of them will try it with pears!"
"These bars are delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn't change a thing. Definitely will make again!"
"SUPA...If you haven't made them then DONOT post! This site is for REVIEWS not comments! I have made these and they are out of this world!! This is a recipe that I will make over and over again!"
"Look forward to making them"
"These were fabulous!! I've made them several times, and always get asked for the recipe. They are a perfect Fall dessert. Supa - do you realize you just took down the entire rating average with your 1 star, just to make a commentary....."
"Thanks to those that gave a REAL review. It irks me when people review something they haven't made yet or slam it with negatives because of their personal choices. I look forward to trying this recipe and rate as a 1 star since I have not made it yet! TOH, you need an option for "have not made yet or want to make this" vs forcing us to give a star rating in order to post a review."
"These are fabulous. I made them last Autumn for a family get-together and it's been the #1 requested dessert ever since. It does take a little time but it makes a lot and is absolutely worth it!"
"These were a big hit with my family! Kids loved them and asked when I would make them again!! I didn't change anything!"

I just rec'd the Oct/Nov issue of Simple and Delicious and selected these bars because i had all the ingredients in my pantry. I and my guests were glad i did. This recipe is a keeper!"
"Amazingly delicious!! A big hit with the family, they ask for them all the time now."
