The best way to get kids interested in cooking and eating right is to let them help. Sliced apple "sandwiches" are one fun way to pique their interest and kitchen creativity.
- 2 medium apples
- 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
- Optional fillings: granola, miniature semisweet chocolate chips and M&M's minis
- Core apples. Cut each apple crosswise into six slices. Spread peanut butter over six slices; sprinkle with fillings of your choice. Top with remaining apple slices. Yield: 6 servings.
