Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked instant rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds
  • 1/4 cup dried currants

Nutritional Facts

1 cup: 303 calories, 10g fat (4g saturated fat), 15mg cholesterol, 209mg sodium, 48g carbohydrate (7g sugars, 2g fiber), 6g protein.

Directions

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions, adding butter and salt. Just before serving, stir in almonds and currants. Yield: 4 servings.
