Reviews for All-Star Muffin Mix
"This mix is a favorite with our family with consistent results no matter what we add it. We have tried raspberries and white chocolate chips as well as "Turtle" muffins with chocolate chips, caramel bits a pecans!"
"Very handy recipe. I am currently out...time to make a replacement batch!"
"This is almost the only muffin mix I use any more. Have made all the variations plus some of my own, love love love this mix. Sometimes I am concerned about the amount of butter in which case I use part applesauce without any difference in flavor or texture. This is a great go to recipe, I always have some made up in the pantry."
"i had to add alot more milk than the recipe called for but otherwise a really good mix"

"this recipe is fast and handy nto have around. i made a batch last night and used chocolate chips.. ya my bad i didnt even think that i probably didnt want the cinnamon and nutmeg taste.. but next time ill remember to make 2 of them one big batch with everything and one without cinn and nutmeg. other than that they were nice and fluffy. maybe a tad dry. but that could be on me but i might add a little more butter, milk, or another egg. well see. thanks for great recipe."
"yes they are fast but i wont make them again of large amount of butter ...they come out greasy and not appealing...expected something better"
"oh also, you can depend on taste of home recipes."
"this is so simple great to have and make em quick, i wld. put dry mix in zip bags and mark other ing. to add on diff. ones."
"I love this recipe! I made blueberry this morning and they have already disappeared! Thanks so much for such a quick, easy, and versatile recipe! This is a new weekend favorite at our house!"
"Makes it so easy to make fresh baked muffins anytime. Add your favorite extracts too. (somehow I ended up with extra, about half a portion, of the mix though, hard to add half an egg to make a half batch)"
"Keep this mix on hand and you will never have to worry about what to make for a quick warm breakfast or snack. My 4 kids love these muffins with banana and chocolate chips. Have done some with chopped pear also and they were just as good. Going to try adding craisins and chocolate chips the next time. Thanks for a great recipe!!!"
"I've been using this recipe for several months. The options with it are endless, so be creative!"
"Made the cranberry-pecan muffins this morning and hubby and I think they are great. I also will enjoy having the base mixture ready and available for a quick batch of muffins when needed. Thanks for the many variations."
"We love muffins so I was excited to see this mix. We are trying to get away from making box/bag foods. We haven't tried any of the versions listed, but we made them folding in 1 C of semi-sweet choc chips. They were great!!! I did change the recipe just a little: I only use unsalted butter in baking, and I reduced the salt to 1 t. Like many, we are watching sodium (and hidden sodium) in our foods. What a great gift possibility, I can't wait to give some out. Thanks for sharing:)"
"I used this mix, preparing four of the variations for a week long youth camp. Froze them ahead and defrosted enough to warm for each day's breakfast. The youth loved them!"
"I love this. It is so nice to just put away some of the mix for a quick recipe later! I have also tried it with strawberries."
"Love, love, love this big muffin mix. I've made the carrot-raisin and banana muffins. I made-up my own this weekend using 1 cup of strawberries and 1/2 cup of almonds and 3 Tbs. sugar with an almond-sugar topping and it was a hit at the family reunion."
"Quick and easy. Love to use frozen wild blueberries for their gentle taste and sprinkle a little chunky brown sugar on the top before baking - adds a nice crunch."
"Wonderful! I have made the blueberry, banana, and apple so far."
"Tried the blueberry version today. Better than the old recipe I had used. This is muffin recipe is definately a keeper!"
"Best muffin recipe ever! Used banana this time. Will try blueberry version soon."
