I made this cake before I found this recipe. I needed a desert for the family reunion so I used the same steps as for this cake, except I used a caramel icing with the toffee bits on top. The pan was empty by the end of the day and everyone wanted the recipe.

I've made this several times; it has become one of our favorite cakes. Because I couldn't find the candy bars, I sprinkle the top with Heath Toffee Bits instead.

I've made this little bit of heaven cake for quite a while. Everyone loves it and it's quick and easy to put together when you want to spend the lion's share of your time on a great meal. Golly David.s - What an angry little man you are. Perhaps you are better served by spending your time on an angry political site like HP? You'd fit right in.

Very good. Another version I make uses a marble cake mix, caramel topping and crushed butterfingers. Both are great combinations!

I haven't made this version, but made what my family calls, "Skorr bar cake". We used a devil's food mix and a can of eagle brand as well a caramel ice cream topping. I used three, frozen, then crushed skorr bars, on top of the cake, then put the whipped cream on top and one more crushed skorr bar on top of the cream.(Skorr bars are in Canada and Britain too I think). Freezing the bars helps them crush better. My family loves it.

I was really curious to find out what a poke cake is, so I tried this out on the family. Wow, I'm so glad I did! A bit like chocolate sticky toffee pudding, with the added bonus of a gorgeous creamy, crunchy layer on top. Husband especially loved it.

So quick! Great for unexpected company. David, study English grammar prior to calling others stupid since you used "your" incorrectly.
