I would likely not use crescent dough a second time but instead pizza dough so there are not so many seams. I found there was way too much filling too so would need more dough. The flavour was excellent.

Sounds wonderful! Can they be made ahead and frozen?

Like the other 2 posters I found that 1/4th of the mixture was too much. My family loved it and I will be making it again with more rolls.

The meat quantity was too much but I took the extra and mixed it into mac 'n cheese the next night for a quick and yummy meal. I also used 2 rolls together instead of 4 to make smaller calzones. Otherwise they are huge.

I followed the directions and quantities exactly, but there's way too much meat mixture inside the dough to even pinch and seal them together. IF I make this again, I will try using 3 tubes of crescent rolls. I would also recommend assembling them on the baking sheet, because transferring them afterwards could be fun to watch.
